The 48th annual Regatta of the V.R C. 3 was held in Kowloon Bay on Saturday afternoon. The weather was glorious, and the air just crisp enough to render enjoyable an outing on the water. Despite the dis advantage of a long launch trip to the rendervous, and the long waits between events, the regatta proved a most enjoyable,

The first race was for Inter-Club fours, distance one mile. This was a fine race, the three crews keeping close together tor three parts of the course. Then the Canton srew spurted, and quickly putting daylight between themselves and the second boat. won by about three lengths. The winning crew consisted of R, C. Martin, R. Johnson, F. C. Herb, E. Imhoof (stroke) and E.

3 Schroeder (cox). The time of the winning crew was 7 min. 48 secs., and that of the second, R.H.K.Y. Club, 8 min. 8 secs.

The Tub Sculling Race was well contested, and resulted in a win for H. S. Jephson, who took 5 nii. 10 secs, to cover the half mile course. There were four other starters.

The event for men-of-war's gigs and whalers was won by a boat, crew from H.M.S. Minotaur, with a crew from H.M.S. 156 Newcastle second.

Tha, race for the Ladies' Prize, presented by the ladies of Hongkong, excited a good deal of interest and was carried off by R. C. Witchell's crew, consisting of J. M. Rosa, Pereira, E., Farrel, H. C. Umrigar, F. L. da Rosa (stroke), K. C. Witchell (cox). A mile race by Garrison gigs, open to members of the Hongkong. Garrison, was won by the 87th Co. R.G.A.·

The race for the Chairman's Challenge Cup was good, some fine rowing being shown. The event was over a mile course 40 and was won by R. C. Witchell's crew, com. aprising P. A. Yoanovitch, H. C. Sayer, A, V. Barros, A. H. Carroll (stroke) and R. C. Witchell (cox).

YACHT KACES.

The Vacht racing was followed with keen interest by the spectators on the launches, and a couple of good races were witnessed. 148 In the handicap for yachts belonging to the R.H.K.Y.C. and the Handicap and Gael „classes of the G.Y.C., the results were as follow-
