FOOTBINDING IN CHINA.

In the course of her remarks Mrs. Lit said that foot-binding was one of the curaes of China. It involved fearful sufferine and fro. gauntly hes of life. The movement was making more progress that might be generally credited but to go out with nerminl foot still required considerable vocal courage on the part of the feraalo.
