The Pablle are informed that the Christmas and New Year Parcel mail to the United Kingdom and other countries in Europa will be closed in this office at 5 p.m. to-day, This parool mail by the long sea route via Gibraltar is due in London on the 17th of Decotuber. Parcels may be forwarded via Brindisi with an extra fee of 60 cents. Such parcels aw due to reach London with the Lotter aquil on the 9th December.

Parcels containing any article of Gold or Silver must be insured for at least part of their alou. All Insured parcels must be sosted. All the ecals on the parcel must be of the same kind of wax and must bear distinct impressions of some private device. This device must be the same on sach seal, Strait, Carved, Dotted or Crossed lines are not admissable. Buttons or Coins must not be used for sealing parcels.

The Clerks of the Post Office are strictly forbidden to seal parcels or to affis Declaration Forms or Stamps ou Farcals or Letters for the Public. Pareola that in the opinion of a Postal officer do not comply with the above regulations will not be accepted,

Owing to pressure of work caused by the outward Christinas Parcel mail to-day, the inward parzel mail from Europe will not be delivered until to-morrow morning,

The Empress of India, with the Canadian wil, left Shanghai on Tuesday, the 8th inst., at 10 p.m., and may be expocted here to-day,

The Della, with the English mail of the 14th ult, left Singapore on Sunday, the 6th inst., at 6 am, and may be expected hors to day. This picket brings the parcel maiis closed in Loudon for despatch by the all sea route on the 5th of October, and for despatch overland on the 12th of Octobár.

The Arcadia, wilic the Sibering mail, is due to arrive here to-day.
