Australia is still an unknown continent, and: the idea is even yet prevalent that for the most part it consists of vast stretches of arid and un caltirable desert. That such a belief is founded: on nothing better than ignorance was clearly demonstrated by Mr. A. W. The accused read the reference to a question on test meges by as to the possibility of obtaining the bribery, and he asked whether his Lonour was bot Impagned fo this.
The witness replied that it depended entirely upon the finding of the Court of Inquiry.
The accused said that it was abvious that it did involve his hencur.
The witness added that no charge was mada in the instractions against any individual. The instructions were in view of the investiga tion of sortsin matters by the Court of Inquiry and of certain eridenen given.
