To improve upon the present methods of bringing coal to London in a fogsinsting pro. blem. By the plan af B. H. Martin is to generato gas at the soal mines of Sogih Yorkshire, and tranemit it under a pressure of 590 pounds per square inch by a pipe fine of 173 miles.
