CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR'S 'PARCELS, Parcels for the United Kingdon via Gibraltar posted before 3 p.m. to-day, are due in London about the 11th December, and those posted before 3 p.m. on the 18th of November ato dus in London on Christmas morning.

With an additional fee of 60 cents parcela may be sent via Brindisi, and if pested before | 3 p.m. on the 18th of November would accompany the letter mail, which is due in London ou tho 19th of December. Parcels intended for New Year's delivery should also be forwarded by the mail of the 18th of November, as the mail per es. Chrusan, which leaves hors on the 3rd of December is not due in London fill the 8th of January via Gibraltar, and the 2nd of January via Brindisi, The rates of postage on ordinary parecla ero na follows:—

All parcels containing jewellary or any article of gold or silver must be insured, all insured parcola must be noted. The seals ninst bear the impression of a device or private mark. Dat not be used for sealing purposes.

As it is unlikely that any M.M. steamer will leave for Europe bafora the middle of December, all correspondence for Europi, etc., will be sent oc by the Arst English or German mail.

The Siberio, with the American mail, left Shanghai on Tuesday the 1st inst., at 3 pm, and may be expected here to-day, at about 6 p.m.

The Chuan, with the English mail of the 7th ult, left Singapore, on Sandry, the 30th ult, at 8 am, pad may be expected here to day. This packet bringa replica to letters despatched from Hongkong on the 6th September.
