BANK SHARES.-Ileagkong and Shanghais sold in a small way at $35 and have further sellors; the London quotation is £61. Nationals can be placed at $34.

MARINE INSURANCE SHARER-Unchanged and without business.

FIRE INSURANCE SHARE, ---- Hongkongs can still be placed at $305, but only to a mole- rate extent, whil, Chinas sold at 8:31 to $994, and have further sollers at latter rate. The report of the China Fire Insurance Company has just appeared in print, and will be analysed in our 1x cireniar; it is proposed to pay a dividend of $7 per share and add $52,915.14 to extra returve faud.

SHIPPING SHARxs.-Bougkong, Canton and Macais have dropped to sollers at $8, Indos sold at $84 to $83 and have sellers at intter rato; the Shanghai rate is Tls 57. China and Mani- las are obtainable at 824, Douglases at $35, Star Ferries at $30 for old and 819 for now sharos (after a sale at $185), and Sheils at 21/-.
