Manila, PI, August 25th, 1903.-Sealed proposals, in triplicate, will be received at this Office until 11 o'clock, am, arch 19th. 1904, at which time and place they will bo oponed in the presence of the attending biddors. for the furnishing and delivery of six million six baodred thousand (6,600,000) pounda
of frozen fresh beef and four hundred and eighty thousand (480,000) pounds of frozen fresh matton to the Subsistence Department at Manila, P.I., during the year ending Juna 20, 1905. The accepted beef and mutton will be admitted free of Cestoms duties, The United States reserves the right to decrease the amount called for in the contract, by not to exceed 40% upon ressonable notion to the contraster, or to increase the amount calle: for, with the consent of the contractor. Each proposal must be accompanied by a Bidder's Gnarantee in the amount of 520,000, or by certified check for that amount on a bank of approved standing in Manils.
