He has submitted to me the formulas of some full of his preparations for examination, giving explanation as to the medical qualities of the ingredient. I have found the Tung Kwan Ban Medical Ponder and the Tit Ta San Army or Falling and Bruising Medical Powder com posed of Musk, Barovs, Camphor, Rhubarb, twe kinds of gum, with red oxide of roury and yellow sulphide of arsenic, mil and vegetable charcoal, which are known in western pharmacy. Besides this it contain goid waf, tigers and dra- ons bones, shavings of antelope and rhinoceros Reience proves to be inert, be proposes to omit horns, which I have shown his that chemical from the medicine provared for foreign use.
