CHARGE AGAINST A SANITARY.
INSPECTOR.
At the Magistracy yesterday, before Mr. Hazeland, D. J. McKenzie, an inspector of nicos in the employ of the Sunitary Depart meat, was charged, at the instance of Mirz Ali, coachman of the Hon. J. J. Keswick, with "unlawfully, wantenly, and cruelly ill-eing ahorse." and further with using "abscono and insulting words towards the complainant where by a breach of the peace might have been occa
sioned.'
The complainant, said that at about half-past six on Monday morning he was riding a horse belonging to Mr. Keswick along Queen's Rond East, and when near Skip Streat he saw the lefondant walking towards him. At this point of the roul there were rickshaws on each sido. When the defendant was a few paces from him ho stared at him and began to abuse him, saying, You black what for don't you Witness was on the left hand go on one side?" side of the road at the time.
