The California Passaye, During the past three months. the vessels ar riving at Ban Prapoleco from Eastern ports have mzde unusually long passages, a feet of 17 sale having averaged 1431 days. Two other soseels touched at way ports. From this we infer that in the suployment of vessels in this trade, mer attention is now paid to their carrying capacity ventilation and other arrageous for the tran- portation of cargo in good order, the to their Bailing qualities, as they hare bson 25 per cent less in registered tonnage and have paid 36 per neut more in freight money than the feet of 32 il during the corresponding period of 1863. From New York there have ocen il arrivals direct, averaging 140 dages the shortest by the Mary Borissonin 115 days. The ship Twilight mada the run in 191 days end the Lookout in 123 days.

From Boston & arrivala direct, averaging 167 deya, the sortent by the Electris Spark. In 128 stage. The Flying Eagle made the run in 135 days.

From foreign porta, we note the passages of the -Admiral, from Malaga, in 127 days, the Caprere, from Liverpool in 131 days the Wu. Chamberlain from Valparaiso, 149 days, and the Wild Pigeon. from Hongkong; in 47 days.Son Procisco Mer- cantile Gazette 12th April.
