Hiram's Highway Improvement Proposal

The Highways Department proposes to improve the junction of Hiram's Highway and Clear Water Bay Road to enhance road safety.

The project involves the realignment of roads and the Hiram's Highway/Clear Water Bay Road junction together with the construction of a vehicular flyover, an underpass and a footbridge.

The proposal is to provide additional traffic capacity to the Hiram's Highway/Clear Water Bay Road junction to cope with increasing traffic demand arising from the rapid population growth in the Sai Kung Peninsular and Tseung Kwan O.

The works will commence in early December for completion in May 1999.

A notice of the proposed works is published in the Government gazette today (Friday).
