(b)
There is no need to amend the current regulations for the recruitment of Government school teachers which generally follow the civil service appointment rules and procedures. The Education Department has exercised flexibility wherever necessary, for example, mounting additional recruitment exercises in case of a shortfall. The Department will continue to monitor the recruitment situation and introduce further improvements as required.
