Weather radar station at Tai Lam Chung
The Architectural Services Department is inviting tenders for the construction of a Terminal Doppler Weather Radar (TDWR) Station at Tai Lam Chung Marine Police Base.
The contract includes site formation, construction of a one-storey meteorological building with a steel radar tower on top plus drainage and external works at the Tai Lam Chung Marine Police Base.
Works are expected to commence in July. The station will serve the Chek Lap Kok Airport upon its completion in April 1996.
Tender forms and further particulars for the project can be obtained from the Architectural Services Department, 34th floor Queensway Government Offices, 66 Queensway, Hong Kong.
Tender offers for the project will close at noon on June 16.

Submarine cable proposed for Siu Mo To
China Light and Power Company Limited plans to lay a submarine cable for providing permanent electricity supply to a Civil Aviation Department's radar station on Siu Mo To Island.
The work will be carried out within an area of about 26 hectares of foreshare and sea-bed from Sham Shui Kok to Siu Mo To.
The work will be carried out in two phases. The work of Phase I will involve conventional dredging at both sides of the landing points while phase II work will relate to laying of the submarine cable from Sham Shui Kok to Siu Mo To.
