DO NOT THAW FROZEN FOOD UNTIL IT IS NEEDED;

NEVER USE A CHOPPING BLOCK AND KNIFE FOR CUTTING COOKED FOOD IMMEDIATELY AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN USED FOR CUTTING RAW FOOD, PARTICULARLY MEAT OR POULTRY;
COOK FOOD, ESPECIALLY MEAT AND SHELLFISH, THOROUGHLY CONSUMPTION;

FOOD TO BE KEPT OVERNIGHT SHOULD BE PUT IN A REFRIGERATOR. RE-COOK LEFTOVERS THOROUGHLY BEFORE EATING; AND
ALL GARBAGE AND WASTE SHOULD BE PUT INTO A COVERED CONTAINER BEFORE DISPOSAL.
DR PERRY ALSO REMINDED THE PUBLIC NOT TO PATRONISE ILLEGAL FOOD HAWKERS AND UNLICENSED FOOD PREMISES AS THE FOOD THEY SELL MIGHT BE UNCLEAN AND POSE A SERIOUS RISK TO HEALTH.
