Mr Victor Maurice GREEN

Mr Green joined the Royal Hong Kong Police Force in 1957

and after service in various formations of the Force was posted to

Special Branch in 1963. He was promoted to Superintendent in 1971

and Senior Superintendent in 1977. His command of operational units in

Special Branch has been of a particularly high order, and his

leadership has played a considerable part in the success of a large

number of cases of great security importance.

Mr lastair William Jamieson GUNN

Between December 1978 and May 1979 when illegal

immigration from China was rising, Mr Gunn commanded a unit charged

with the investigation and prosecution of illegal immigration

offences on a territory-wide basis.

He established an Intelligence Unit which provided

first class information, statistics, research and analysis on

illegal immigration thus contributing to an informed assessment

of the problem.
