Mr PANG Shuk-keung

Mr Pang completed over 27 years' service in the Meter

Reader ranks of the Water Supplies Department and reached the top of

his grade. Because of ill health, he retired from the Service in

October 1979.

He was frequently commended by his supériors for his

untiring efforts and proved himself to be a dedicated officer with a

strong sense of responsibility.

Mr WONG Hang-cheong

Mr Wong joined the Immigration Service as an Immigration

Assistant in 1974. He served in the refugee section in 1979 during

the height of the refugee influx. Despite the enormous pressure of

work and the acute shortage of staff at the time, he continued to

discharge his duties in an efficient manner and he was always

patient and sympathetic in his dealings with the refugees.

Mr YU Tat-kum

Mr YAU Tat-kua first joined Government service in 1947 as

For the last 25 years he has led a team of Labourers,

responsible for minor maintenance of road surfaces and associated

drainage instellations within his district, including emergency

work after typhoons and rainstorms.
