He has been a member of the Textiles Advisory Board since 1969. He
has attended many negotiations of textile restraint agreements
between Hong Kong and other countries as an industrial adviser and
has also advised on their implementation. Mr Lin is a member of the
Trade Development Council, of the Polytechnic's Advisory Committee
on Textile Industries and of the Executive Committee of the Ready-
to-Wear Festival.

Mr Harry David STEAD, JP
Mr Stead worked in Nigeria for eight years before joining
the Hong Kong Government in 1957 as an Engineer. After being
promoted to Senior Engineer and Principal Government Engineer he was
appointed in 1975 to be Director of Engineering Development.
Mr Stead has been a key figure in fostering the sport of squash
rackets in Hong Kong; he has been Honorary Secretary of the Squash
Rackets Association for many years and has devoted himself
particularly to training young local players in the sport. He is
retiring from Government service in 1980.

Mr William Frederick STONES
Mr W.F. Stones is a Director and Deputy General Manager
of China Light & Power Co. Ltd. He has played a significant role in
improving the company's operating efficiency and engineering
standards, particularly in relation to the Tsing Yi Power Station.
