Mr. Poon was employed at HM Dockyard in 1945 as a labourer and
was subsequently promoted to skilled labourer and Store Assistant.
joined the Registration of Fersons Department in 1959. "During his service
he has shown outstanding efficiency, loyalty and devotion to duty and has
been dedicated to maintaining the highest possible standard of service to
the public. He has set a fine example to his younger collea ues.

Mr. 7ONG Keng-chiu
Mr. Wong joined the Government service in 1946 and was promoted
to Principal Welfare Assistant in 1974. Over the past 33 years he has
been engaged in relief work, particularly in emergency rslief and the
production of meals for victims of natural disasters and for refugees.
Since 1973 he has assumed responsibility for managing the Hung Hom Kitchen
which also serves as the emergency relief headquarters of the Social Welfare
Department. Mr. Jong has proved to be most devoted, dedicated and loyal,
willing to take up round-the-clock emergency roliof work whenever required
and the excellent example sut by him has greatly motivated the staff of the
Kitchen.

Mr. YU Ming-yeo
Hr. Yu was appointed as a daily-rated Timekeeper in the Public
Works Department in 1947. He had a particular flair for dealing with the
labour force and their staff problems and has always had a notably steadying
influence on his colleagues.
