His skill, leadership, determination and courage at countless

dangerous and trying situations in U.K. and for the last 18 years in

Hong Kong have contributed significantly to the saving of many lives and

considerable property from fire or other calamity.

Mr. KONG Hoi-fung

Mr. Kong joined the Hong Kong Fire Services as a Fireman 31 years

ago. Throughout his long service he has demonstrated high standards of

discipline and loyalty. He has served in active operational units for

all his service and for the last 13 years as an N.C.0. His actions at

countless dangerous fires and other calamities have been of the highest

order and as a result of his determination, resourcefulness, courage and

leadership as an N.C.0. in direct charge of a fire crew he has been

responsible for the saving of many lives and much property.

Mr. LEUNG King-chi

Mr. Leung has served with the Hong Kong Fire Services for 25 years

and throughout his service he has demonstrated firm discipline, loyalty

and courage.

He has served in various operational echelons and as a

result of his leadership as an N.C.O. in direct command of fire crews

together with his skill and determination many lives have been saved and

property damage minimised. For the past few years he has been involved

with operational training and high standards have been achieved by his

efforts..
