The concept of this type of licensed area germinated three
In 1973, a pilot scheme was put in hand at Ex-Rifle Range
Licensed Area which received acclaim from both local and overseas
Visitors.
Shortly afterwards, the first modernised licensed area was
built at Homantin next to 01 Man Estate.
Tenants moving in need only partition their allocated area
within the part-built structures.
Facilities provided include metered electricity and tap
water at their door-steps as well as telephone lines. A small kitchen
is also attached to each household.
