Meanwhile, atage I of t is housing project which is undertaken

by the Public Works Department, is pro ressing on schedule with foundation

work nearing completion. It includes two 30-storey cruciform blocks and

a seven-storey block housing about 19,400 people as well as shops, an estate

office, a kindergarten, a commercial complex, a multi-storey carpark and

schools.

A novelty in the design of the estate is that all blocks will be

linked by a system of elevated covered walkways which separate pedestrian and

vehicular traffic.
