At the 14 Adult Education & Recreation Centres in Hong Kong,
Kowloon and the New Territories, which have a total membership of about
13,000 men and women aged 18 and over can apply for short courses from
September 11.
Those courses, which are free of charge, cover such subjects as
folk dance, music, dramatics, physical education, art, Mandarin, English
conversation, photography and Chinese boxing.
VISIT TO SHELTERED WORKSHOP

The Chairman of the Government Lotteries
Management Committee and the Chairman of the Executive
Committee of the St. James Settlement, have organised
a press visit to the St. James Sheltered Workshop for the Handicapped on Tuesday (July 3).
Press representatives wanting to cover the event should assemble at Queen's Pier, Hong Kong, not later than 10.50 a.. on Tuesday. Transport will be provided.
The Workshop, run by the St. James Settlement, was set up in April this year. A grant of 3404,874 from the Lotteries Fund has been approved to be used
as running expenses for the first two years.
