TAX RELIET FOR CHARITABLE DONATIONS

Revised List Of Charitable Institution Published

A revised list of charitable institutions and trusts which

have, as at May 31 this year, been recognised as being exempt from

tax is published today in a Supplement to the Gazette.

It supersedes all previous lists.

Last year, the Inland Revenue Ordinance was amended to provide

tax relief for persons who make donations to any charitable institution

or trust of a public character which is exempt from tax under Section 88

of the Ordinance.
