Prune nut biscuits
2/3rds cup shortening, 2 cups brown sugar, 2 eggs, well bedten, cup milk, I teaspoon vanilla, 31⁄2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon tearpoon bicarbonate of soda, 1 teaspoon baking powder, i cinnamon, cup chopped nuts, 1 cup cooked pruner, chopped, Cream the butter and sugar, add the eggs and beat well. Mix and sift the dry ingredients and add alternately to the first mixture with the milk to which the vanilla has been added. Then stir in the nuts and the prunes. Drop from a ten- spook on a well oiled baking sheet and flatten down each biscuit n'bit. Bake in a moderate oven for about twelve minutes.
