In a fast and furious encounter that had just about every- thing KCC 'A', who last week lost their unbeaten record to Recreio 'A'; yesterday at King's Park in turn ended Macaoneis 'A's winning run by defeating them 2-1. The game was marred by tempers becoming frayed in the second half when umpire J. Howe quite rightly stopped the game and issued a stern warning to both captains.

It is a constant source of amazement to me that week after week one sees on the rugger fields in the Colony instances of the basic principles of the game being ignored.
