But there was one painting; of medieval merrymakers, which he just couldn't sell at his asking price of £500, though he did turn down one offor, of £250. Now Llewellyn in glad he couldn't find a buyer for exports of the National Gallery and the Rijkemuseum, Amsterdam, havo identified the artist as Ludovic Pozzoiorato, a Fleming who worked in Italy in the late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries. And they reckon the 29" x 50" painting is worth at least £10,000.
