THE QUEEN has appointed Giles, the famous cartoonist, to the Order of the British Empire.

Giles was far too shy to say anything about it himself. But what do other famous artists think of him? I know the answers because I have dis- cussed Giles with them on many occa- sions.

First, royal por trait painter Pietro Annigoni. What does he think of Giles?

He admires him so much that he asked to meet him when he was in London re- cently.
