GLENN DAVIS BETTERS OWN WORLD RECORD IN

400 METRES HURDLES

United States athlete Glenn Davis today beat the world 400 metres hurdles record when he clocked 49.2 seconds to win this evont on the last day's programme at the East Europe versus the United States meet in Budapest. Davis beat his own existing world record of 49.5 seconds set

up in Los Angeles on June 29, 1956.
