In the Supreme Court today the Acting Puisne judge, Mr J. Reynolds, held that the correct rate of exchange at which the sum of the China US$449,504.43, found to be due to Mutual Trading Company from Banque Belge Pour l'Etranger, should be converted into Hong- kong dollars was US$17% per HK$100. This was the official rate on April 17, 1951.
