Many observers are fearing a nation-wide industrial flare-up following the unsatisfactory position in our basic wage adjustments,
They have a feeling, too, that certain State Governments are not helping the position by virtually over-ruling the Commonwealth Arbitra- tion Court and making their own laws about the adjustments.

A denial that he had an interest in opium divans operating in the Tap Mun Village and that it was the reason why he, did not report them to. the Police during the past year was made by Lam Tam-sang, village elder, during cross-examination in the case against three Police officers charged with corruption and conspiracy before Judge J.
