H.T. HEAH COMES VERY NEAR TO UPSETTING THE DEFENDING CHAMPION

By "ARGONAUT”

University's H. T. Heah came very near to upsetting defending Champion Ramon Young in the Men's Senior Singles semi-final of the Colony Open Badminton Championships at Craigengower Cricket Club last night. Young won by 7-15, 15-6 and 15-13.

Taking the offensive from the initial service, Heah let loose his barrage of deadly sizzling drop shots to both ends of the net, catching the Champlon time and again on the wrong foot. With a supplementary armoury of side-line smashes, close net shots, and follow-up net Laps, Heah dominated play in the first set to lend by 10-3 and 14-4 before winning it by 15.7.
