Both London and Malaya are a little nervous over reports that Japanese rubber purchasers are speeding their switch from Malayan to Indonésian rubber.
Japanese rubber importers recently, protested against the shipments of lower grade rubber from Malaya than those contracted for and sounded an im- plied warning that unless this was rectified Japanese buyers would switch their business to Indonesia.
