JOE BINKS SAYS There Are Runners Today Who Can Do A Four Minute Mile

RECORDER"

Joe. Binks, 78-year-old doyen of British athletics columnists and one-time holder of the Mile record, passed through Hongkong yesterday en route to Korea where he will talk to the troops on athletics. This is his third such lecture tour with the Services. The News of the World columnist made two such tours in 1941 and 1946.

Joe, who has had considerable experience getting the world's best athletes together for the British Games, said that a four-minute mile was possible today but that it was extremely difficult to get the best milors together.
