FIND BRITAIN'S BEST EIGHT FOR HELSINKI
By HYLTON
CLEAVER
An Australian oarsman, C. B. M. Lloyd, has been given the task of finding the best eight to represent Great Britain in Helsinki.
The problem the Olympic selection committee of the Amateur Rowing Association have set Lloyd is to find a crow with a really first-rate chance of ending the sequence of United States victories, unbroken since 1920.
To do this, Lloyd must pro- duce an even belter crew than that which went to the United States and stirred the Amerl- cans in 1951, and which beat the best in Europe.
