The United States is prepared, should an armis- tice satisfactory to the United Nations be reached in Korea, to enter into a much wider conference with the Communists to try and arrive at a general settlement on all problems at present bedevilling the West in the Far East and Southeast Asia.

Among these problems would be one ending the guerilla war in Malaya and two ending the similar Red guerilla campaigns in Indo-China and the Philippines.
