Canucks Given Another Chance To Prove
Their Good Faith
By
"GRANDSTAND"
Mainly on the recommendation of the Chairman of the Senior League Committee of the Softball Association, the Canadians, who were trúant last week, were given another chance to prove their good faith, but should the Canadians or any other team be guilty of a similar offence in the future, the full penalty of suspension may be invoked.
Although this action may seem drastic, it was the opinion of the General Council which met last week that possible recurrence of this Incident can only he avoided by a severe penalty.
One of the main reasons which prompted the Association to segregate, teams in the Senior League was to eliminate the tendency of giving walkovers when strong teams were pitted against much weaker outfits, but with teams being evenly matched and the result of every game being of importance, this state of affairs cannot be tolerated.
