NATO Support For Italian Peace Pact Revision

Ottawa, Sept. 19.

The 12-nation North Atlantic Treaty Organi- sation will declare its support on Thursday for revision of the Italian peace treaty, delegation sources said tonight.

The declaration will call for "full equality" for all NATO member States in a clause prompted by Italy's plea for treaty revision to end all discrimination against her and make her a full partner in the West's defence against Communism.

The sources said the statement would not mention the treaty by name. The NATO Counell felt it could not enter into an argument in detail pending a Big Three decision on the revision question.
