Geneva, July 3.

Shortages of scrap, iron ore and coke are be- ginning to affect adversely steel output in Britain, Western Germany and France, Western Europe's chief producers, according to figures compiled by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe.

Estimates in the quarterly steel bulletin show that Britain was turning out steel in April at an annual rate of 17,000,000 tons.
