:

Tokyo, July 4.

Booming trade between the Malay states and Japan has jumped commerce between the two countries to "between 60 and 70 per cent" of the prewar level, reliable British sources told the United Press here today.

"On a percentage basis trade between Japan and Malaya is almost back to the pre-war level," a source said. "And from an overall standpoint, postwar trade this year will reach between 60 and

per cent of the pre-war total."
