By "ARGONAUT"

Kowloon Cricket Club Ladies' “B” team claimed the day's honours in the opening matches of the Tennis League season yesterday with an upset 61⁄2-21⁄2 triumph over the highly favoured Craigengower. Cricket Club.

With the exception of Cissy Noronha, the Valley club fielded exactly the same team that won them the title in 1949, and had been regarded before yesterday's match as the strongest challenger to Ladies' Recreation Club this year.

Though plaerd only fifth in the League table last year, Kowloon Cricket Club displayed vastly improved form yesterday and showed the beneficial results of n full year's club tournament.
