SHANGHAI PANDAS CONCLUDE THEIR TOUR WITH 7-1 VICTORY OVER PAKISTAN

China 5-4 at Caroline Hill yesterday morning, the Pandas staged a grand finale to their tour yesterday afternoon when they subdued Pakistan 7-1 in a scintillating diamond display to wind up their series against local
teams.
Prior to the game Paul Chung, captaining the visitors from Shanghai, pre- sented a colourful pennant to the Hongkong Softball Association as a mark of their appreciation for the co-operation in making the trip a success.
In the Senior League games, the Americans, who were unable to field team as a result of mass departures from the Colony, conceded the points to the Canadians, while Doc Moltken's Baseballers were only just shaded by the Jaguars 3-2 in a full seven inning game.

Club Were Lucky
To Escape Defeat
By "HANLINCODE"
A large crowd at Sookunpoo on Saturday saw a hard but not brilliant game when the undefeated Club played the Rest of the Colony. The game ended in a scoreless draw and most people present thought that this reflected the play in general. There were those others among the crowd, however, who hold the opinion that the Club were lucky to escape defeat.
In the first few minutes Clayden missed a sitter of a penalty shot and this this they seemed to put the Club forwards in a fighting mood because after never relaxed in their efforts for one single second. However, they were facing_a fine pack and when they did hook the ball their three's never опсе looked like scoring and just didn't seem able to get any fire into their efforts.
Lachlan played a hard game) at the base and Stewart tried really hard to be a host unto himself. But the honours of the J. R. Club backs must go to Henderson of
