JAGUARS CELEBRATE THE

NEW YEAR WITH A CLOSE

3-2 VICTORY OVER BRAVES

By "GRANDSTAND”

The Softball exhibition games provided thrilling fanfare for the crowds who were attracted to King's Park over the Holidays, as the Jaguars celebrated the New Year with a close 3-2 noseout over the Braves while the Junior League all-star Blues shaded the Golds by 5-4 in a tussle which stretched into two additional innings.

In the annual classic between the Ladies and the Council and Scribes, it was decided to call it a drawn game as at one stage it was impossible to distinguish the males from the females with their fancy dress.
