TREES ALSO NEED DOCTORING
SPRAYING has become increasingly necessary because of the decline in the number of birds and the accidental importation of foreign insea ta. Best results are obtained with mist spray.
WHERE valuable trees have developed decayed areas in their trunks, surgery may be advisable. After removing rotted area, parallel bracing rods are necessary to keep the cavity walls rigid.
A long, weak limb, like the one on this oak tree, should be supported by.cabling or it may be lost. The cable must be anchored in a heavy branch. TREES, like people,

SECTIONAL Joints are installed both horizontally and vertically to give the concrete filling flexi- bility. A disinfectant and waterproof dressing inside cavity will protect the wood from decaying.

USE three cuts in removing limb. First, make undercut 2 feet from trunk. A little farther out-make overcut. Then saw oft stump flush with trunk.
POLE-BAW is offective for tree pruning, which keeps trees, attractive and eliminates dead branches that are breeding places for Invouta and dimerFOR.
