Lt. Col. John Spence and Edwin Tsai won the Colony Open Hard- court Doubles title yesterday when they beat Taui Wai-pui and Tsui Yun-pui by 10-8, 6-2, 6-3, at the Chinese Recreation Club.
Spence is the first non-Chinese ever to win a Hardcourt title at the CRC tournament. The Tsui brothers had held the Doubles title be- tween 1937 and 1948. They lost last year to Ip Koon-hung and Ed- win Tsai.
