Members of the mission told a Press ennference that Communists formed a small ninority in trade unionism in Asla but were the most vocife rons. At the same time, the potentiality the Communists. for making trouble should not be underrated.
The chairman of the mission, Mr. F. W. Dailey, said that as an vutcome of the mission's tour, it was likely that an Asian Regional Organisation of the International Confederation of Free
Trade Unions would be set up to en- courage the growth of free trade unlonish: in Asia.
Members of the mission thought that strong unified federation of trade unions would come into existence in Japan, representing 80 to 85 per cent of the workers le that coun- try and supporting free trade unionism,
They also looked forward to the strengthening of free trade unlonismen in Burnin. "Our mission is only the beginning of free trade unionism in Asia", they ould.
