Canadian motor car production
Canadian motor factories produced 200,634 vehicles last year, including passenger cars) and commercial motors, to establish a new production re- cord, according to complete figures just issued by the Dominion Bureau of Statistics. in Ottawa.
This was an increase of 10 per cent over the 1948 total of 204,- 18 vehicles. The previous record was set up in 1941, when 270,191 units were turned out, largely commercial vehicles for war use.
