A cyanide pencil, such as the French Maquis used to blow up Nazis, caused the explosion which narrowly missed killing the 31 persons in the Viking airliner over the English Channel. Informants close to the investigation, which has been going on since late on Thursday night, said the Home Office experts have definitely est- ablished, that the time bomb aboard the Paris-bound plane was in the form of a pencil.
