PROBLEM OF JAPAN'S GROWING POPULATION
New York, March 25,
Juitsu Kitgoka, director of Japan's Birth Control Propagation Association, declarad yesterday. that Japan must stabilize its oxpanding 'popu- lation or starva:
He added in a Press conference at the Margaret Sanger Research-Bureau that he doubted if Japan would again launch an aggreasive war to seek an outlet for its teeming millions, but cautioned hunger would bring extreme unrest which might develop into civil war and further complicate the already unstable conditions in the Far East.

STAMP NEWS
By "TETE-BECHE”
According to latest advice from London, Stanley Gibbons are to issue a 1950 British Empire catalogue which they hope to have ready in May. This will include King George the Sixth stamps right up to data. The price is 13/6 plús postage. I wonder if this means the end of a separate King George the Sixth Catalogue?
Judging by recent advertisements I have read in stamp journals, dealers at home are "boost- ing" pre-King George the Sixth issues. One dealer even goes so far as to refer to them as real stamps issued before the days of the "ramp", whatever that may mean.
One reason I suspect is the enough to be in the know. There varletles of perforations which is no doubt, however, that col- have been suddenly appearing in lectors of King George the Sixth various numbers, thus encourag- stamps are on the increase. ing "cornering" by those fortunate
