The Bill, tabled by M. Paul Struye, a Catholic and a former Minister of Justice, will be de- bated in the Senate, the Belgian Upper House, on October 25. Later, it will go before the Cham- ber of Deputies, the Lower House.

The position of the country': three main parties on the ques tion of King Leopold's return is as follows:

The Catholics are wholly in favour of the King's return.

The only solution acceptable to the Socialists is the King: abdication in favour of his son.

The Liberal are divided oa the issue.

The three Parties agree that al referendum is the best means f solving the problem, although they disagree on two points.

The Socialists say the King must obtain at least two-thirds of the vote before he can be ro- instated. The Liberals also far. our a percentage.
